- Choose a comfortable seat. Rest your feet on the floor if you are in a chair, or sit in another position that supports you.
- Bring your palms together. Place your hands in front of your heart with your fingers pointing upward. Keep your shoulders relaxed. If this position is uncomfortable, rest your hands in your lap and follow along in a way that works for you.
- Notice your fingertips. In my Reiki tips for beginners, I suggest resting attention where the middle fingers meet. You can notice that contact without straining to concentrate.
- Return gently. Thoughts will come and go. When you notice your attention has wandered, return to the feeling of your hands or the sound of the guidance.
- Finish at your own pace. When the recording ends, notice how you feel before moving on with your day.
